How Positive Behaviour Support works at Bespoke Behaviour

  • Step 1. Connect and understand

We begin by building a trusting connection with the participant and their support team. We listen for thoughts, feelings, and preferences, and set the collaborative tone that carries through everything after.

  • Step 2. Assess and gather

We gather accurate information on behaviours of concern through interviews, observation, and assessment, with regular check-ins so what we learn keeps pace with the person and their feedback.

  • Step 3. Build the plan together

We develop a comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan from the data we have gathered, refining it alongside the participant and their team so it fits their real needs and preferences.

  • Step 4. Train and embed

We train the participant and their support team to put the plan into practice, so strategies are used consistently and with confidence.

Then — review and evolve

A plan is a living document. As the person grows, we revisit it together, retire strategies that belong to an earlier chapter, and add goals that reflect who they are becoming. The best sign of a working plan is a participant who looks at it and says, ‘this feels like me now.’
